NETWORKING TIPS & ADVICE

To get the most out of being a part of Biz Group 66, have are some networking tips and advice, and what to expect:

  • Don’t be nervous – our networking group is made up of really friendly like-minded people who are all looking to connect, and hear about you and your business.
  • Arrive early, as this gives you a chance for some open networking, away from the formal agenda of the meeting.
  • Don’t try and direct sell to anyone in the group- networking is essentially about building relationships, and in turn making new contacts. No-one will even want to talk to you, let alone buy from you, if you start every conversation with a hard sell.
  • When it is your turn to talk about you business, try and be as specific as you can. It is helpful to briefly mention what you do, but also include the type of business you are looking for and why those specifically, aswell as the locations you cover.
  • Actively listen to what others are saying and asking for, and really consider if you can help them.
  • Arrange one to one meetings with fellow members, so you really get to know each other better, and provide further opportunity to help each other.
  • Be open minded to different ideas, and during the challenges round, feel free to contribute any thoughts or experiences of your own.
